By downloading or using Magpie Radar (“the App”), you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Magpie Radar provides community-reported information displayed on a map, including optional alerts and route checking features.

2. Awareness only – no guarantees

The App is provided for awareness and informational purposes only. Reports may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or outdated. We do not guarantee that the App will prevent injury or that locations are safe. You are responsible for your actions and decisions outdoors.

3. User content (reports)

If you submit a report, you agree that:

Your report is provided in good faith and to the best of your knowledge

You will not submit false, misleading, or harmful content

You will not include personal data about others (names, addresses, phone numbers)
We may remove content or restrict access if we believe it violates these Terms or harms the community.

4. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

Abuse, spam, scrape, or reverse engineer the service

Attempt to disrupt the app or its infrastructure

Use the app for unlawful purposes

5. Subscriptions and payments

Premium features may require a subscription. Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, and their terms apply. Subscription status and entitlements are managed by those platforms.

6. Intellectual property

All app content, branding, and software are owned by Magpie Radar (or licensed to us). You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app at any time. We may also update these Terms. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, or damages arising from use of the App, including reliance on reports or alerts.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia (and applicable Australian federal law).
